I have been a real estate agent for over 20 years and lost everything in the 2008 housing crash. I was sleeping in my car and bankrupt. I picked up The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson in 2011 for the first time and it completely transformed my life.

Growing up in Finland as a refugee from Kurdistan was not easy. There were a lot of cultural differences that made it difficult to settle in. Which means that school was also difficult.
I kept having the lowest grades all the way from primary school to high school. After high school I applied many times to university to study pharmacy and failed. It was on my third try when on reddit I saw someone mention the Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.
I had 4 months left for the entrance exam and with the help of Slight Edge philosophy I thought that I must put this process into small pieces that I can do daily. The plan was simple: I will read 10 pages of the entrance exam book and do 5 chemistry tasks every day. I found that after doing these every day, it freed my rest of the day to do other things too, and not only be fixated on studying.
When the results came back, I found out that my entrance exam was top 4 out of 1100 people. I had a better result than 1096 committed students. As someone who was never a good student, I was convinced of the Slight Edge philosophy.
Success is indeed small daily habits done every day. After internalizing the Slight Edge by Jeff Olson I have been able to get opportunities in my life that I would have never believed possible, for example: grow my social network from non-existent to amazing, work in great companies, act in major films and commercials and lastly, become happier.
